2 - day workshop appropriate for:
- People who work in supervisory role in any industry,
- People who supervise/manage Indigenous staff,
- Human Resource staff,
- People who actively contribute to the organisation’s Mentor Strategy/Employment Strategy/Reconciliation Action Plan.
This workshop focuses on supervision, support and leadership of Indigenous staff using cultural safety techniques:
- Preparing personal development plans that reflect individual and organisational goals,
- Monitoring and reviewing performance and development and addressing barriers,
- Identifying and responding to cultural needs, obligations and values,
- Communication and problem solving techniques,
- Addressing conflict,
- Identifying community and workplace networks to provide support and resources,
- Reporting on effective support and outcomes.
We take you on a journey extending beyond cultural awareness and cultural sensitivity towards understanding how life experiences and cultural exposures shape us and shape our worldviews - enhancing personal empowerment and promoting effective and meaningful pathways to self-determination for indigenous people.
